Yaseerah Ebrahim – the fastest woman with the fastest RS3

Just stop for a moment and think about how many Audi RS3’s there are in South Africa. Also, think about how many of those RS3 owners, most of whom are men, think they are fast.

Please step aside gentlemen and make way for the green lightning…

At 8.71 seconds, Yaseerah Ebrahim is now the fastest female drag racer in South Africa and she also drives the fastest RS3.

The army green RS3 ran a new best time at Tarlton International Raceway this past weekend. Ebrahim broke her personal best of 8.9 seconds.

As usual, her father Hassen was by her side, guiding her every second of the way.

First, Yaseerah ran an 8.74 second pass @263km/h and then bettered it with the 8.71 seconds @ 258km/h.

The crowd at Tarlton was sent into jubilation as the 011 Street Society racer beat her personal best.

The 2018 model RS3 runs on a fully forged 2.5 litre daza motor.

The head mechanic behind the build is Mr Douglas Tones aka Doug-al-Hasi, of Dtech Motors. Al-Hasi is also a drag racer that drives a 2JZ swapped Datsun GX.

Rameez Ebrahim of RMZ Motorsport, Yaseerah’s brother, tunes the car which runs on a 95% ethanol mix and a Syvecs ECU.

The AWD runs of Hoosier radial slicks, and has a parachute and full cage for safety. The cage and parachute were installed by Chris Miller of CME Engineering.

The RS3 has been lowered a bit with a set of aftermarket springs, but for the most part, the suspension is still factory.

For the past four years, the Ebrahim family has been touring South Africa with the RS3 and have finally reached their goal, according to Hassan.

“The 8.7 second run is something that we were aiming for. It was our goal to reach that time here at the altitude level.

“Now we going to try and push it a little bit more. There’s still a little left in it so we see where we can take it from here,” Hassan Ebrahim told Auto Rush.
